About this pattern

The sunflower motif is built in layers — a textured brown centre, then two rounds of petals that stand up off the square — before the granny rounds turn it into a tidy block that joins like any other.

Written in one size (90 × 110 cm with the border) with instructions for making it bigger or smaller, so the same pattern works as a baby blanket, a lap throw or a full sofa blanket. Play with the colours: the sample uses brown, sunny yellow and a nude neutral, but any worsted-weight stash will do.
